What a delight to meet Angela Missoni, daughter of the co-creators of the eponymous line known for its gorgeous knits and amazing patterns that are known world wide.  Angela has taken over for her parents who started the line after World War II. Her father had been a . Angela could not have been a more personable and gracious guest. You could feel that she was as excited to meet us as we were to meet her.

So many lovely Over Fifty and under Fifty were present. All of us so excited to meet the world famous designer who has created lust and passion in women for decades. Not to mention the frenzy it caused when it did a collaboration with Target a few years back.  Target was literally pandemoniom. I still have a few of her Target pieces that I think I will get out of for this article.

This lovely woman, Sandy, was the first person I met.  I mentioned to her how stunning I thought she looked and she told me she sewed the dress herself.  What a perfect dress. The color, the sway of the A-line skirt, the fit across the top, and I could go on. On top of that, her accessories were perfect. The brown suede boots were perfection.  Did I hear anyone say that a 68 year old woman can wear a black leather motto jacket? The rules for Over Fifty women, are out the window with this look for sure.

Meeting Angela was something I had been looking forward to for a while. Since the ’80’s, I have been in love with that iconic zig-zag. Of course I had to wear a Missoni scarf to the event as did many other women. To add Missoni statement scarf to your closet, click here (only $76)!

This lovely woman sitting at my table was also wearing a Missoni sweater!! The epitome of elegance and her skin is so dewy.  If it hadn’t been so hectic, I would have liked to ask her some beauty tips.

The fun thing about going to a Fashion Event like this is that women like to get dressed up. So, no jeans or T-shirts, and I was able to get shots of some lovely ladies like below

Blogging about women Over Fifty can be tricky sometimes.  This woman below did not look Over Fifty, but I had her friend ask her, and she happily volunteered that she is.  So nice to see someone happy about it

This lovely lady is a private match maker.  Not one to usually mention someone’s career, but it is unusual to meet someone who does this, and even more unusual that she will do match making for women Over Fifty.

Here’s my total outfit for this event.   A Max Mara cashmere wool dress, that isn’t itchy.  Stuart Weitzman over the knee boots, and my Missoni scarf, of course!!

A beige shift dress is as good as an LBD for daytime.  Click for details
