Every Monday night at the Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles, lots of people, including those of us Over Fifty, go to a  nightclub to hear some great jazz. One night, my BFF from 5th grade and her boyfriend asked me to meet them there.

Why not?  During the Holidays, the hotel looks so beautiful and everything is so festive.

I decided I needed to add something festive to my attire.  What should it be me.  Let me think…hmmmmm.

Red is the color of the season right?  When I got dressed I put on my dark gray jeans that are the best skinny jeans around ( look at them closer ) and basically all black, because we were going to see jazz. When I think jazz, I think black clothes.  Anything goes with black right?  So on I put my red shiny boots( check them out here ) and away we went!!! What a coincidence.  I matched the piano too!!

The music was great. In Los Angeles, there are so many talented people, it’s hard to find bad entertainment.

There were even singers there who really rocked the house. I don’t know this woman’s name, but she was terrific.

The best part of all though, was getting to spend some time with my best friend from 5th grade.  We have been through everything together, and nobody knows me better than Judy. I am so grateful to have her, and I never ever take it for granted.

The New Year is just a few days away.  I hope that everyone who follows me has a wonderful New Year.  I hope you are able to spend some time with family and/or friends. If not, I hope you can make some new friends this coming year.  You can always email me, and I promise I will respond.

Any time you want to tell me something, you can always comment at the bottom of the page. Here’s to you, and wishing you the best in 2018.

Love,
