It’s Saturday night, date night. It’s not often we go to fancy restaurants, but our friends invited us. What the heck we thought. What to wear to a nice restaurant? In Los Angeles, hardly anyone gets dressed up, including me. The cold shoulder has been really big this summer. Personally, I don’t know why it ever went out of style. And, I just bought this really fun and RED dress with the new cold shoulder! I hadn’t worn this new dress yet, so I thought, “so what if everyone is dressed in black and I am the only one in red.” Everybody wears black these days. After all, even though we are all Over Fifty we should feel visible and sexy. Even if our bodies get older, our passion and yearning for pleasure never gets old.
This dress was a great bargain. It was marked down 70% at the Neiman Marcus Last Call sale. I debated because as you have already read, I have never worn red before the last few month. Now, however, I am so glad that I did get it. It is fine in all seasons and therefore, very usable!! Not that I have that many places to go that are fancy!! It is by Chiara Boni and the material is very good at holding you in in all the right places. The biggest problem is, it is a bit squirmy to put it on and take it off.
