Do you think you would be nervous the night before your runway show at NYFW; well, apparently Christian Siriano has nerves of steel and loves a good cocktail party!! The gathering at his quaint, luxurious and charming store, The Curated, is an intimate and warm affair and if you are even in NYC during Fashion Week, put this one on your calendar.
Have a little champagne as a pre-celebration in crystal flutes and all the while have fun looking at all of his wonderful fashions along with the other designers he curates in the store.
Guests roamed about the store having fun looking at Christian’s elegant and whimsical styles like this great plaid satiny blouse. Don’t go for the spinach dip at any parties wearing this blouse!!
I went with my dear friend Ashleigh, to the left, and Ashleigh made a new friend while meandering and mingling.
It’s also a great time for old friends to come together. This is Ashleigh my friend from F.I.T. and we hadn’t seen in each other in a couple of months.
The reason Christian’s store is called The Curated, is because he carries other designer’s accessories, like jewelry, hats, and other fun things. The gorgeous woman, Trish, was at the party for the jewelry designer Irene Lummertz, who carries amazing jewelry. Trish’s earrings are from the Lummertz collection. Each piece is so unique, it’s another great reason to stop in at the Curated.
This past year was not the best and my hopes for 2019 are very much higher. One regret from last year is that I never had the chance to get to Christian’s store during one of his sales (which is when I can afford to purchase something.) So, although my dress is not by Christian, I an still his staunch supporter. I hope he continues this tradition because it is a lovely event during Fashion Week where you can share the excitement of all the things happening around NYC. Wishing Christian the best of luck at his runway show on Saturday afternoon. Stay tuned for photos as I am guessing he will have surprises up his sleeve, as always!!
