Iris Apfel in person at Macy’s to celebrate her Collaboration with the brand INC.

How can you not smile when you see a picture of Iris Apfel?  It’s impossible for several reasons.  She wears whatever she wants, and can be as flamboyant as Liberace, and she makes it work. She is 95. How many women at this age are not only as sharp minded as Iris, but who are still so stylish. She is truly one in a million and the greatest role model for all of women, no matter what age. What a great inspiration to every age!     Much to everyone’s delight, Iris showed up LIVE and IN PERSON at Macy’s, in Herald Square, to kick off her collaboration with the design brand INC.  Every woman, young and old, would delight in meeting  this amazing woman in the flesh as it is likely there will never be anyone like her again. Everyone who was there, however, was  so thrilled to see her as the advertisement for the event did not indicate her presence.  A great party was thrown in honor of just how awesome Iris is, and to celebrate the collection. Even the mannequins got dressed for the party.This great floral midi dress with the cold shoulder is one of dresses in her collection.  The mannequin with the Iris Beads (lol) is wearing ’70’s style slacks., so comfy. Below this photo, the mannequins are also sporting Iris glasses (lol) and the one wearing an off the shoulder striped shirt, looks quite cute!!   All of the ladies present were in such a festive mood.  Champagne was served in Iris/Inc glasses , oh so adorable.  Iris (real/fake) glasses were given to all of the ladies attending and everyone wanted to be part of the action.   For the real Iris lover, you can even buy an Iris bangle.  I guess now, the more bangles you wear, the better, a la Iris.  Do you want the one with Iris on it?  What a great conversation piece this would be, no? It was such a grand night. Iris even took the mike and spoke to the crowd.  Better yet, Iris brought her very best friend along, her dog.  Of course the dog was dressed in an Iris creation as well.  So, now ladies, go take a look at the Iris/Inc. collection. It truly is Fashion Friendly for the Over Fifty.
