Soft Surroundings is THE place to be for women Over Fifty as we transition from Winter to Spring here in the US. Originally the catalog, and now stores all over the US, is where you can find their assortment of casual chic clothing. (It’s not just for Over Fifty women either. There is something great for every woman in their array of selections.

In Spring you can hopefully put away your puffer and heavy coats and get out your sweater coats. This great sweater coat is called theTelluride Topper. It comes in five different colors and is very versatile and easy. All I have on is a shirt, leggings and boots. No more heavy clothes.  I truly prefer warmer weather to colder because it is so much easier to get dressed.  This teal color for me is almost like a navy blue for other women.  I consider it a neutral and wear with everything from off-white to purple to rust. You might call it color blocking, but this is one of my favorite colors. It is a true teal as well, which is very hard to find! Anyway, there are so many colors to choose from and the style is Ageless.  Want to feel chic Over Fifty, this is a great start.

You can also belt it for another look.  Belting it is easy and if you pick a fun color as a contrast you can call it color blocking which everyone loves! The belt also gives a more sophisticated feel.

Another adorable option from Soft Surroundings is this off the shoulder shirt/tunic with a double layer from the top of the shirt to the empire waistline. While walking on the street in North Hollywood, we found this beautiful butterfly mural!!  We could not resist taking a photo with myself as the butterfly.  It is nice to think of yourself that way, and that you are able to morph yourself in to something different when the time is right. That is what I am hoping anyway.

We also made a stop at the famous makeup store in North Hollwywood, Morphe.  It’s filled with young makeup artists and I always love being around that energy.

After a long day, we sat down and took a break.  Here I am looking chic wearing my fun sunglasses!!
